Growing and I.U.D. North East mini-tour starts tonight (1/24)

Growing and I.U.D. have teamed up for a very small string of dates in the North East that kicks of tonight in Brooklyn and will take them to Philly and Baltimore.  Obviously attending these shows is a no-brainer. Details are:

Tonight Mike Bones will be playing a show at Cake Shop in Manhattan. Dude kills it live so be there.

Blood On The Wall's Liferz available now || Announce US tour

We are overjoyed to say that this month sees the release of Blood On The Wall's colossal third album Liferz.  This  record sees the band expanding their sound and honing their aesthetic while staying true to what we all love so much about them.  Liferz has already received acclaim from the press with XLR8R saying it "sees the band staying true to its minimalist punk roots. Is the world ready for punk's second coming? Blood On The Wall's Liferz will be the final testament if you ask us." Pitchfork had this to say: "still scratching the museum polish off of the throat-rending loud-soft stonedness of your favorite 90s indie rockers."

This album will be available in stores on January 22nd but is available now in our store.

Sian Alice Group live dates in London || 1/12 and 1/20

Sian Alice Group have a couple of shows lined up in their native London over the next two weekends. First one is at The Social on January 12th. Also on the bill is our very own Artanker Convoy. DJing will be John Coxon of Spring Heel Jack. The second show is on January 20th at The Old Blue Last. Le Volume Courbe will be opening and Alexis Taylor (of Hot Chip) and John Coxon will be DJing.

This is all in advance of the release of the band's debut album 59.59 (out February 19th in the US and April 22nd in Europe). The album is truly stunning so keep an eye out for that one and expect a lot of news on this band in the coming weeks.

Christy & Emily live at The Empty Bottle in Chicago this Saturday

This Saturday (1/12) Christy & Emily will be playing what will be their first show in Chicago, so there is really no excuse for those of you that live there not to go. Also on the bill are Roomate and Till By Turning (featuring Emily of Christy & Emily). It'll be a good one.

Growing / I.U.D. show this Saturday postponed

You may have seen info in the press about a Growing / I.U.D. show at Death By Audio in Brooklyn this Saturday. That show has been postponed till January 24th.

Artanker Convoy UK Tour! || 1/12-1/19

This month Artanker Convoy will be heading to the UK to play what will be their first UK tour. For those of you based on that side of the Atlantic this will provide a rare opportunity to see the band perform. Their live shows feature no small amount of improvisation and are not to be missed. Dates are as follows:

This tour is a pretty rare occurance and clearly should not be missed.
